All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** James Edward Hosea Funeral services for James Edward Hosea, 79, of Delhi, were held March 2, 2002 at Newton Baptist Church, in Delhi, with Revs. James Busby and Eddy Shoemaker officiating. Interment followed in Newton Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Mr. Hosea died March 1, 2002, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Hosea, of Delhi; sons, Twayne Hosea, Dwayne Hosea, and James Hosea, all of Delhi; and Willie Paul Hosea, of Tallulah; daughters, Joan Taylor,Nell Blackmon, Rose Mary Peairou and Sandra Gilbert, all of Delhi; brother, Claude Earl Hosea, of Delhi; sisters, Bessie Hogan, Sally Ruth Weems and Marvalee Jurls, all of Delhi, and Edna McVay of Farmerville, 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Hosea was preced in death by his grandson, Randall Taylor; brother, Lonnie Hosea; and sister, Louise Peters. Serving as pallbearers were Butch Hosea, Mark Hosea, Sonny Hosea, Bo Hosea, Roert Hosea and Howard Hosea. Honorary pallbearers were J.W."Lightning" Dyess, Charles Dove, Bud Byrd, Greenlee Copes, Billy Newton, Walter Smith and Oscar Johnson.
