LA., were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2001, at the Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Senn officiating. Burial followed in the Greer Cemetery,.under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home of Rayville. Mr. Medlin died September 12, 2001 at the Richardson Medial Center, following a brief illness. He was a member of the Zebedee Baptist Church and the Rayville Masonic Lodge, RF. McGuire Lodge #209. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Annie Medlin, and by his sisters, Lola Gray and Bradis Crane. Survivors include his wife, Earlene Patrick Medlin of Rayville; his son Gordon Medlin and his wife, Becky of Rayville, along with their children, Kristi Fontenot and her husband John, Courtney Fulmer and her husband, Tim, and their son Brant and Nathan Medlin; his daughter Janice Alderman and her husband Adren Jr., of Rayville, along with their children Michelle Alderman, Misty Alderman, Misty Alderman and Hope Smith; his sisters, Eula Rainwater and her husband, James, of Sterlington, LA., and Annie Rachel Gilley and her husband, Bob of Bastrop, LA.;along with many other family members and friends. Members of the Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers.
