All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** John Wesley Huckabay Services for Mr. John Wesley Huckabay, age 88, of Rayville, LA., will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 9, 2005 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville, with Rev. Harold Spillers and Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Mangham under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville, Louisiana. Mr. Huckabay was a Soldier, Farmer, Public Servant, Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He served his country as Corporal in the United tates Army during World War II. His duties took him to North Africa and Italy. After the allied victory in Europe, John returned to farming in Richland Parish then later retired as a Supervisor from the Richland Parish Police Jury after twenty years of employment. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include: Wife of fifty-nine years: Martha Ellen Huckabay of Rayville, LA two Daughters: Patricia Ann Huckabay Little and husband, Jerry of Rayville, LA Bonnie Huckabay Payne and husband, Claude of Rayville, LA four Sons: Johnnie Ray Huckabay of Monroe, LA David Leon Huckabay and wife, Thelma of Rayville, LA Billy Dean Huckabay and wife, Lori of Rayville, LA Doyle Leslie Huckabay of Seattle, WA Sister: Ina Hunter of Rayville, LA thirteen Grandchildren and seventeen Great Grandchildren Pallbearers are: Jason Freeland, Johnny R. Huckabay II, Wesley Huckabay, Justin Huckabay, Keith Auttonberry, Billy Bowlin, Richard Raney, and Daniel Rugg.
