 John E. Mercer Jr.

Services for John E. Mercer Jr., 89, of Mangham, were held at Lone
Cherry Baptist church in Mangham with the Revs. Doyle Adams and 
Richard Brooks officiating.

Burial followed at Lone Cherry Baptist Cemetery under the direction
of Brown-Holley Funeral Home of Rayville.

Mr. Mercer died April 16.

He was a member of Lone Cherry Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Mercer of Mangham; three daughters 
and sons-in law, Darlene and Benny Williams of Mangham, Maxine and Carl 
E. Free of Mangham and Ann Everard and Robert of Hampton, VA; two sons
and daughters-in-law, Billy J.and JoAnn Mercer of Mangham and Claude and 
Carolyn Mercer of Rayville; a sister Lannie Brunson of Mangham;
a sister-in-law, Audie Mercer of Mangham, 18 grandchildren,42 great
grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Joe Lively, Claude Templeton, Kenneth MCDonald,
Edward Tarver and Charlie Yates.
