Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Mulhearn Funeral Chapel with Rev. Johnny Fant officiating. Interment will follow In the Forrest Cemetery in Forrest under the direction of the Mulhearn Funeral Home of Delhi. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Cobb of Pioneer; three sons, Woodrow Cobb and Jarrell Cobb both of Delhi and James Cobb of Pioneer; four daughters, Mrs. Lela Nielsen, Winnsboro; Mrs. Lona Taylor, Delhi; Mrs. Dorothy Neathery, Delhi; Miss Charlene Cobb, Pioneer; one brother, W. M. Cobb, Delhi; 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. ***Submitter’s notes: James Monroe Cobb was born 7 Dec 1895 in Franklin County, MS, the son of John William Cobb and Jelena “Jennie” Wactor Cobb. He married first to Jessie Trahern in Franklin Parish, LA, 18 June 1915. They divorced. He then married circa 1935 to Maggie Reeves. Jessie is the mother of Woodrow, Jarrell, Lela, Lona and Dorothy. Maggie is the mother of James and Charlene.
