Douglas, age 79, of Mangham, LA will be 10 AM Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at New Light Baptist Church Mangham, LA with Rev. Wayne Sistrunk and Rev. Fred Keys officiating. Burial will be in Lone Cherry Cemetery Mangham, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home - Rayville, LA. Mr. Douglas passed away Sunday, October 19, 2003. He was a member of New Light Baptist Church in Mangham, LA and was an avid sports fan. He was preceded in death by a wife Marie Annette Gandy Douglas, two brothers, Albert Douglasand Marvin Douglas; five sisters, Frances Thomason, Evelyn Brook Hancock, Verna McQuillian, Sarah Graham Williams and Linia May. He is survived by his wife Cleo Haley Douglas of West Monroe, LA; daughter: Linda Marie Purington and her husband John of Anderson, CA; son: Oliver Alexander Douglas and his wife Pattie of Mangham,LA; two sisters: Jean Conners of Jackson, MS and Venia Brooks Jackson of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren: Andrea Nacolle Douglas, Jason Alexander Douglas, Cheryl Marie Amis and John Marshall Amis; one great grandchild: Ashley Marie Smith. Pallbearers will be Marshall and Brandon Poindexter, Michael Schooler, Bob Jones, Timmy McBroom and Roger Fife. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Poindexter and Perry Flemming. Visitation will be from 9 AM until service time Tuesday.
