Prewitt Services for Mrs. Josephine Prewitt, 92, of Archibald, were held Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Archibald First Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Goodman and Rev. John Langham officiating. Interment followed in Lynn Cemetery in Archibald, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Rayville. Mrs. Prewitt was a member of Archibald First Baptist church, the DMA and the Mangham Eastern Star Chapter #152. A retired telephone operator with Southern Bell, she was born October 21, 1913 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away September 7, 2006 in Monroe, LA and was precededin death by her parents Joe Oswalt and Shirley Rose Wright Oswalt, her husband JackPrewitt, brothers Felix Oswalt, Curtis Oswalt, Johnny Oswalt, Calvin Johnston and Shelby Johnston and sister Julia Lee Johnston Myatt. She is survived by her daughter Frances O’Neal of Monroe,LA, sister, Mavis Boneyof West Monroe, LA, brother Preston Johnston of Rayville, La, three granddaughters;Gail Griffith of Monroe, LA, Kathy Middlebrooks of West Monroe, LA and AnissaWilliamson of Baton Rouge, LA, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Baron Williamson, Gary Middlebrooks, Danny Griffith, Zach Griffith, Zachary Mc Vay and Logan Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Ray Roberts, Wendell Shoemaker and the Deacons of Archibald First Baptist Church.
