Anthony Stewart and the Rev. Tony Smith officiating. Burial followed in Epps Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home of Rayville. Mr. Tarver was born April 14, 1944 and passed away December 18, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Tarver attended the Hegwood Baptist Church in Epps. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a VA Service Officer. Survivors include his wife, Lettie Jane Payne Tarver of Rayville; children, Kevin Allen Tarver and wife Celina of Start, Brandon Keith Tarver if Rayville, and Kayla Nicole Tarver of Rayville; grandsons, Caleb Allen Tarver, and Andrew Kyle Tarver of Start; brothers, James Ray Tarver and wife, Mary of Tennessee, Donald Charles Tarver and wife of Shirley of West Virgina and Frank Earl Taylor and wife, Jackie, of Warden; sister Betty Faye Stinson and husband Jimmy of Monroe; numerous nieces and nephews and he was very close to his puppy "Rudy". Pallbearers were Billy Guice, Jeff Cade, Shane May, Gerald Wayne Barnett, Joseph Payne and Jack Payne.
