Funeral services for Mr. Lavelle Best, 72, of Rayville, LA were 
held 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Brown-Holley Funeral 
Chapel in Rayville with Reverend Charles Best officiating. Interment 
followed in McKnight Cemetery near Holly Ridge, LA under the direction 
of Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville. 

Lavelle Best was born on July 25, 1933 in Holly Ridge, LA. and passed 
away on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 in Rayville. Mr. Best was a member of 
the Church of Christ in Delhi, LA. 

Survivors include his wife, Lucy Wynn Best of Rayville, LA; children, 
Nan Carr and husband, Wayne of Rayville, LA; Larry Best and wife, Rene` 
of Rayville, LA; step children, Mike and Donna Ellis of Rayville, LA, 
Patricia Jones of Start, LA and Angela Sandford and husband, Ronnie 
of Rayville, LA; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. 
Sister, Lois Leach of Delhi, LA; brother, Leamon Best and wife, 
Mabel of Ruston, LA. 

Pallbearers were Danny Thomas, Chris Thomas, Bubba Morris, Tim Parker, 
James Williamson, Chris Jolly. Honorary Pallbearer was Tommy Nicholson.
