All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** * Obituary of Lila Tillman Dixon as printed in the Richland Beacon News Lila Tillman Dixon Funeral services for Lila Tillman Dixon 95, of Dunn, La., were held on Wednesday, January 12, 2000 at the Brown- Holley Funeral Chapel of Rayville, with the Rev. Eddie Martin and Mr. Clayton Cooper officiating. Burial followed in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Brown-Holley funeral Homes of Rayville. Mrs. Dixon died Tuesday, January 11, 2000. She was a member of the Dunn Church of God since 1924. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ira Dixon, a son Durrell Lyle Dixon, and a grandson, Mitchell Lyle Dixon. Survivors include her children James Edward Dixon and his wife Melba of Homer, La. and Shirley Davis and her husband Sammie, of Delhi, La. A daughter-in-law, Nancy Dixon of Rayville, La.; a sister, Elma Venable of West Monroe, La.; five grandchildren- Mike Davis and his wife Linda, Danny Davis, Cherie Turner and her husband Lanny. Jamie Dixon and D'Ann Shannon and her husband, Keith; and five great grandchildren: Gina, Sami, and Mika Davis and Matthew and Mitchell Turner. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Davis, Danny Davis, James Dixon, Lanny Turner, Keith Shannon and Noble Tillman Jr.
