She is the widow of the late Reverend James Stewart, Sr., Rayville, La. they were married for fifty six years. Services will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2006, 12:00 Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Rayville, La. Mrs. Stewart, a mild mannered woman worked diligently in her church, Pine Hill B. C., Rayville, La. and her community where she nurtured many children in addition to her own. She is survived by two sons and five daughters, James, Jr., Chicago, ILL. Bettye Spears (Samuel), Shreveport, La., Luella Harris, Monroe, La., Daisy Wilson, Lake Providence, La., Wilma (W. J.) Purnell, Royal, Ark., Samuel Stewart, Houston, Tx. and Annie Ruth (Prince) Staten, Monroe, La. Grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews will truly miss her. Mrs. Stewart a Christian lady with a beautiful smile and a helpful spirit leaves a legacy to be remembered by many. Wakes will be held 1:00 PM until 3PM Monday, April 10, 2006 at Progressive Baptist Church, Lake Providence, La. and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Pine Hill Baptist Church, Rayville, La.
