Rayville, LA - Graveside funeral services for James Edward McBroom, 88, were 
held Saturday, July 21, 2001, at 10 am at McKnight Cemetery. Services were 
under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home with Rev. W.L. Gardner 
officiating. Mr. McBroom died on Thursday, July 19, 2001 at Richardson Medical 
Center. Mr. McBroom was preceded in death by his son Larry Edward McBroom. 
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Elizabeth McBroom of Rayville; three 
daughters, Shelvia Stansell and husband Bennie of St Joseph, La., LaJuana Luce 
and husband Alan of Tyler, Tx. and Lisa Evans and husband Randy of Helena, 
Alabama; sister, Lillian Sherman of Rayville; two brothers, Ray McBroom of 
Rayville and Perry McBroom of Portmoth, Ohio; six grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren. Pallbearers were B.J. McKnight, Virgil Johnson, Wilburn Harris, 
Hebur Adams, Randy Vaughn and Paul Watson.

Additional Comments:
James was the son of Perry Finis MCBROOM & Maude Viola BEST.
