Marvin Blakley


Funeral services for Marvin Blakley, 66, of Rayville will be held 10:00 AM, 
Monday, November 6, 2006 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel in Rayville. Burial 
will be in Bethel Cemetery in Holly Ridge, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley 
Funeral Home, Raville. 

Marvin Blakley was born on July 11, 1940 and passed away on Saturday, November 
4, 2006. 

Mr. Blakley worked for D & J Construction for twenty-seven years. He was an avid 
Deer Hunter and loved the outdoors. He loved going to the Mud Races and working 
on his place, especially along with his family, who meant every thing to him. 

A special thank you to Lori Priestley of Premier Hospice. 

Survivors include his wife, Dixie Blakley; son, Marvin W. Blakley and wife, Lesa; 
daughters, Tina Rodgers and husband, Kenny and Rhonda Ray and husband, Michael; 
grandson, Chazz Blakley; granddaughters, Nikki Owens, Misti Little, Halie Little, 
Skyler Blakley, Breanna Ray; great grandchildren, Brayden Owens and Kaiden Blakley; 
twin brother, Melvin Blakley and wife, Judy and brother, Harold Blakley and wife, 
Becky; sisters, Louise Kelley, Claudia Stevens, Diane Hannis and Virginia McNaughton; 
numerous nieces and nephews, including a very special nephew, Chuck Blakley. 

Pallbearers will be Donald Storey, George Books, Roy Patton, Kenny Newman,Wayne 
Whitman and Michael Bates. Honorary pallbearers will be Drexall Rodgers and Richard 
Richardson. 

Visitation will be Sunday, November 5, 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Brown-Holley Funeral 
Home, Rayville.
