Caston Funeral services for Myra Keene Caston, 86, of Haughton, formerly of Holly Ridge, were held March 2,2002, at Shady Grove Church of God with Butch Goodman officiating. Interment followed at Bethel Baptist Church Cememetery, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home. Mrs. Caston Died February 28, 2002, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Shady Grove Church of God, in Holly Ridge. Mrs. Caston was preceded in death by her husband, Otto. E. Caston, and two grandaughters, Vicky Owen, of Lubbock, Texas, and Rhonda Curry of Haughton. She is survived by three daughters, Mildred Dooley and husband, Donald of Duncanville, Texas, Joanne Curry and husband, Marvin of Haughton,and Jean Bailey and husband, Charles, of Ruston. She has one brother, Opal Keene, of Archibald, and seven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers were Leo Lyle, Jr., Larry Lyle, Ricky Goodman, Randy Curry, W.L. Glidwell, Scott Kennedy and Joe Marsala, Jr. Honary pallbearers were her great-grandsons, Chase and Jacob Collins. Memorial may be made to Shady Grove Church of God. The family acknoledges its appreciation to the staff of Heritage Manor and Willis Knighten Hospital for the care they showed in a difficult time.
