Cox, 91 of Clear Lake, where held Thursday, April 22, 2004at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev, Jeff Smart officiating. Burial was in Alto Baptist Church Cemetery in Alto under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville. Mrs. Cox passed away on Monday, April 19,2004 in Rayville. She was a member of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Rayville and was an owner and operator of Cox Grocery at Clear Lake for 55 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Pat and Rowena Mulhern; a brother, James A. Mulhern; a husband Fred Cox; and a great great granddaughter, Katie Cox. She is survived by her daughter, Fredonia Seely and her husband Andy, of Saldana, Texas; two sons, John Pat Cox and wife Bobbie of Start; and Fred R. Cox and wife Elaine, of Haughton; a brother, Fredrick P. Mulhearn Jr. of Clear Lake;a sister-in-law, Jean Mulhern of Shreveport; her grandchildren, Mary Sue Blackburn and her husband Kern, Drew Seely and his wife, B.C., Debbie Porterfield, and her husband, Larry, Patti Malone and her husband, Bo, Gary Cox and his wife Karen, John Cox, Rebecca Cox, Rachal Cox and Mark Cox; nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Frank Mulhern, Ricky Mulhern, Drew Seely, Kieth Williams, Russell Porterfield and John Cox.
