Kyle Coats and Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Start Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville, LA. Mrs. Grissom went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 4, 2004 after a lengthy illness. A life long resident of Richland Parish, she was born to the late William "Bill" T Seymour and Altis Stevens Seymour. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Rayville, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Charlie Seymour. She is survived by her husband, Joe Grissom, Sr. of Start, LA; three daughters: Carolyn Jo Smith and husband Jeff of Rayville, LA, Rosemary McDonald and her husband Paul of Rayville, LA, Joann Dennard and her husband Troy of Rayville, LA; three sons: Bill Grissom and his wife Tamara of Start, LA, Joe Grissom, Jr. and his wife Rhonda of Start, LA, Daniel Grissom and his wife Ellie of Rayville, LA; three brothers: Houston Seymour and his wife Yvone of Winnsboro, LA, Lynn Seymour of Rayville, LA, Joe Seymour and his wife Marsha of Rayville, LA; two sisters: Shirley Reddick and her husband Buddy of Start, LA, Billie Jean Castleberry of Bastrop, LA; six grandchildren: Samantha Smith of Rayville, LA, Jacob Smith of Rayville, LA, Blake Dennard of Rayville, LA, D.J. Grissom of Start, LA, Taylor McDonald of Rayville, LA, and Madeline P. Grissom of Rayville, LA. Pallbearers will be Eddie Word, Dennis Romero, Larry Seymour, Kevin Eppinette, Bennie Love, David Wisenor. Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Rayville, LA The family would like to give thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, and staff of North Monroe Medical Center and North Monroe Rehab Center.
