O’Neal, 85, of Rayville were held Monday, February 28, 2005 at Woodlawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Arnold officiating. Interment followed in Newton Cemetery in Dunn under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville. Mrs. O’Neal was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church of Rayville and also once a member of the Home Demonstration Agency of the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service. A retired store clerk, she worked for Bennett’s, Posey’s Gentry’s and Jitney Jungle stores. She was preceded in death by her husbands, W.H. O’Neal and Gene Willett. She is survived by her daughter Angenell O’Neal of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Jessie Williams of West Monroe and Gloria Nielsen of Dunn; stepdaughters, Thelma Savage of Houston, Texas; La Verne Parham of Mangham and Pat “Sugh” Groome of wheeling, W.V., and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. Billy Nielsen, Kenny Sims, David Templeton, Sammy Sharbono, Scott Jones, Buddy Jones, Luke Hill and Andrew Hill will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Willett and Dale Willett. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
