Alvin Stowe officiating. Burial followed in Shanks Cemetery near Rayville under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home of Rayville. Mr. Silk died April 3,2002. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Nolan Silk; and a son, Larry Silk. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law; Catherinre and Gaynell Stokes of Chatham, Sanddra and Walter Bono of Covington, Anita and Lou Adams of Canton, GA., and Sherry Silk of Rayville;two sons and a daughter-in-law; Richard Silk of Rayville and Ricky and Margaret Silk of Rayville;a sister, Betty McCowin of Rayville; three brothers, Shelby Silk of Rayville, Jimmie Silk of Channelview, Texas, and Albion David Silk of Portola, CA.;1 grandchildren and 18-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Steve Stokes, Keith Stokes, Eric Silk, Tommy Silk, Greg Silk and Steve Silk.
