Gandy, 62, farmer of Route One, Mangham who died Thursday night in a Monroe Hospital after a short illness, will be held at 2 PM Saturday at New Light Baptist Church near Mangham with the Revs. Dewey Miles, C.W.Jones and Milton Byrns officiating. Burial will be in the Lone Cherry Cemetery by Mulhearns Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Gandy was a native and lifelong resident of Richland Parish. He was a deacon in the New Light Baptist Church near Mangham. Surviving are his widow Mrs. Maggie Gandy; 3 daughters Mrs. Marie Douglas and Mrs. Betty Fleming, both of Mangham and Mrs. Emma Jean Goodreau of Jennings; a brother, Royce Gandy of Mangham; a sister, Mrs. Clara George of Mangham and eight grandchildren. Named pallbearers wee Carl Brice, Leo Cheek, Homer Prewitt, Henry Parham, Ed Jones, Duncan McIntyre, Wilbur Thames, Thomas Thames and Ray Thames.
