All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Patty Sue Johns Black Patty Sue Johns Black, 68, of Delhi passed away to be with her Lord on April 24, 2006 at the Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi. Mrs. Black was a retired Teacher of 28 years where she taught in Lake Charles, Delhi, Holly Ridge and at Riverfield Academy. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Delhi where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years, was an avid gardener and was a member of the Garden Club and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma for many years. She was also a Vacation Bible School Teacher during the Church's Mission Trip to Mexico. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Delhi with Rev. W. H. "Bucky" Curry Jr. and Rev. Eddie Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the Faith Memorial Park Cemetery in Delhi under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Visitation will be held from 5 PM-9PM Tuesday at Cox Funeral Home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Johns and Pauline Cable Johns. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles A. "Buddy" Black of Delhi; daughters Debbie Wilbanks and husband Delbert of Winnfield, LA; Sandy Black of Delhi; and Jamie Burnside and husband Gaylen of Little Rock, AR and her grandchildren, Nathan & Morgan Nosser, Allison & Jon Taylor Davis, Miles Burnside and Taylor Wilbanks. Pallbearers will be Mike Copes, Billy Earl Hammons, J. N. Franks, Charles Franks, Shelton Parker and Thomas Dickerson. Honorary Pallbearers will be William G. Loftin, Ron Crager, Dr. George Edwards, Dr. Paul Grandon and Dr. Jerry Ezell.
