WEEMS Funeral services for Pearlie Brown Weems, age 81 of Delhi were held Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel in Rayville with Bro. Mark Singleman, Bro. Huey Hughes and Bro. Bill Lovett officiating. Burial followed in Lone Cherry Cemetery in Mangham under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home of Rayville. Mrs. Pearlie Weems was born on February 1, 1923 and passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2004. Mrs. Weems was preceded in death by her husband, Albert C. Weems, Sr.; son, A. Clayton Weems, Jr.; and two brothers, Randle Brown and Gene Brown. Survivors include her daughters, Annette W. Blake and husband, Bennon of Delhi, Betty W. Neathery and husband, Glenn of Arcadia; sisters, Myrtis Flint of Dunn, Myrtle Haire of Rayville, Edna Southall of Archibald and Jewel Dear of Rayville; brothers, Jack Brown of Winnsboro, Cecil Brown of Baskin, and Noble Brown of Rayville; twelve grandchildren; and nineteen great granchildren. Pallbearers were Terry Haire, Claude Nobles, Steve Dean, James Hales, Matt Goyne, Steve Neathery and James Brown. **Submitter's Notes: Daughter of Monroe Edward Brown and Annie Adella Nobles Brown, Mrs. Weems was born in Mangham, Richland, LA.
