 Roy Ben "Pop" Burroughs

Funeral services for Roy Ben "Pop" Burroughs, 91,
of Rayville, were held March 1, 2002 , at Mulhearn
Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Smart officiating.

Burial followed in Rayville Masonic Cemetery, under 
the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Mr. Burroughs died February 27, 2002, in Rayville,
after a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Maude Burroughs.

Mr. Burroughs is survived by his son, Roy Dean Burroughs and
wife Barbara, of Shreveport; daughters, Polly Sehon and 
husband, Robert of Start, and Shirley Posey and husband, Jimmy
of Rayville; brother, George "Sonny" Burroughs and wife, Florence,
of Monroe; sister Hazel Hand, of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law,
Mildred Burroughs, of Rayville; special friends, John and 
Estelle Brown, of Monroe; seven grandchildren; eight great-
grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers were grandsons.
