Mann, 86. Were held at 2 P.M. on Thursday January 15, 2000 at the Brown-Holley Funeral Home Chapel in Rayville. Burial followed in the McKnight Cemetery near Holly Ridge, La. Under the direction of Brown- Holley Funeral Home of Rayville. Mr. Mann was born to Sam and Minnie Mann, one of 12 children on October 1, 1913 in Union Parish, La. As a young man he moved to Richland Parish where he resided the remainder of his life. Mr. Mann was a retired farmer, pipe liner and cattleman. Mr. Mann died January 13,200 at Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers- S.L. and Columbus Mann, and three sisters-Murel Rarick, Alberta Hendrix, and Elizabeth Seale. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Myrtis Dean Mann, of Rayville, La.; a daughter and son-in-law, Hilda and Morris A. (Till) Pylant of Mooringsport, La; two sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Patsy Mann of Oak Grove, La., and Glen and Kim Mann of Homer, LA.; nine grandchildren-Dewayne and Vicki Lynn Pylant, Jeff and Vicki Jo Pylant, David and Teresa Mann, Shay and Bridgette Mann, Dawn and Wade Haskins, Justin Jones, Morgan Jones and Carley and Katelyn Mann; four great grandchildren- Bridgette,Brittany and Brianna Pylant and Tyler Mann; a sister, Iva Duckworth of Rayville, La.;two brothers and sisters-in-law- Grady and Gertrude Mann and Leroy and Martiel Mann all of Bastrop, La; and his special friends at Thompson's Store-"Miss Bessie, Shirley, Tommie and their families and Claude Ray, with whom he spent many wonderful hours. Serving as pallbearers were Ricky Graham, Eugene Mann, Jimmy toney, Tommie Thompson, John Thompson, and Leo Whitstine. Honorary pallbearers were Claude Ray and M.H. Brister.
