Robert Ewell McDonald

The following is his obituary taken from a very old issue of the Richland 
Beacon news, Rayville, Richland parish, Louisiana:

"Robert Ewell, son of Elijah and Fanny McDonald, died of inflammation of 
the brain, near Rayville, Richland parish, Louisiana, Sunday evening July 
14, 1878, in the ninth year of his age. George Lyles and a companion traveled 
to Shiloh, eighty miles away to summon the father to the bedside of his gravely 
ill son.. Mr. McDonald had been attending the Baptist Convention there...."

Robert was buried in the Little Creek Methodist Church Cemetery, two miles 
west of Archibald, Richland Parish, Louisiana.
