Johnnie Ware Allen will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at Calvary Baptist Church Mangham, LA, with Rev. James Carson, Rev. Larry Emory and Dr. Paul Cobb officiating. Internment will follow in Hewitt Cemetery in Mangham, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville, LA. Rev. Allen was Pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church Mangham and pastored many Baptist churches in LA, and AR, and was recently honored as the Oldest Full time Pastor in the state of LA. He lived in Northeast LA, all his life working numerous jobs, but always worked at furthering GodĘs Kingdom. A member of W. M. Baker Lodge # 388 in Mangham he was a 32 degree Mason and member of the York Rite and Scottish Rite Bodies. A sportsman who loved Hunting and fishing if for nothing else just to enjoy God's Creation and the great outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew Jackson Allen and Pearl Ellen Allen, two brothers, Marshall Allen and Bill Allen, Daughter Johnnie Mae Carter, and a granddaughter Ashley Sebren. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lola B. Allen of Mangham, LA; four sons: Kenneth Allen and his wife Clarice of Rayville, LA ; Jack Allen and his wife Carolyn of Ruston, LA; Charles Allen and his wife Sandra of Castor, LA, and Gary Allen and his wife Linda of Winnsboro, LA; daughter: Melba Sebren and her husband Don of Rayville, LA; three sisters: Ida Mae Bogus of Hall Summit, LA ; Annie Dawson of Kilbourne, LA, and Helen Pullin of Sterlington, LA; five brothers: Dewey Allen of Lake Providence, LA; Huey Allen of Kilbourne, LA; Aubrey Allen and Robert Allen both of Oak Grove, LA, and Steve Allen of Jennings, LA; twenty grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers.
