Richland Beacon - December 04, 1889
ALTO, LA - December 4, 1889

On last Saturday evening just after night fall the home of Dr. D.R. Sartor was 
visited by the dark angel of death and called from home one of its precious 
innates in the person of Bertha. Her stay in this world was brief but sweet. 
Before she learned  of the cares and sorrows of this life.

God took her to where such never come.
No night shall be in Heaven, no darkended room.
No bed of death, nor silence of the toomb,
But breezes ever fresh with love and truth, 
Shall brace the frame with an immortal youth
