        Edwin Burk Smith
  Rayville, La.-Edwin Burk Smith, age 66, died last night at his residence 
April 24, 1958 on Route 2 in Rayville, La.  Graveside services will be held 
tomorrow afternoon at the Shanks Cemetery here. 
  He is survived by his five sisters;  Mrs. Wess Nolan,Lake Providence;  Mrs. 
Julie Ann Stanley, Rayville; Mrs. W.T. Clack, Oak Ridge; Mrs. Henry Victory, 
Mer Rouge; Mrs. Otto Harrist, Bastrop; two brothers, Hodge Smith and Dink 
Smith of Mounds, La.; two daughters; Mrs. Gladys Taylor, Crossett, Ark; Mrs. 
Ruth O' Neal , Chicago, Ill. and two grandsons.
  Mr. Smith had lived at the Rayville address for the past nine years with his 
sister, Mrs. Stanley.  He was a life long resident of Louisiana and had made 
his home earlier in Morehouse  Parish for 48 years. 
  Pall bearers will be - Bud Mayhall, Johnney McIwain, James Dawson, Ray 
McAlister, Melvin Silk, and James Neely.

Mother: Martha Elizabeth Armstrong of Union Parish,La.
He had a kind soul.
