B. Stephens MANGHAM - Funeral services for J. B. Stephens, 78, of Mangham, La., were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2001 at the Lone Cherry Baptist Church with the Revs. Richard Brooks and Doyle Adams officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Homes of Rayville. Mr. Stephens died Saturday, February 10, 2001 at the North Monroe Hospital following a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Mangham, a World War II Air Force veteran and a member of the Lone Cherry Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie and Estes Stephens; and by his beloved wife, Estelle Nobles Stephens. Survivors include his two daughters - Donna Parker and her husband, Roger; and Marilyn Williams and her husband, Guy; four grandchildren - Clay Parker, Andy Parker, Wesley Williams and Kyle Williams; three sisters - Beulah Brown, Evelyn Cripps, Bessie Stephens; and a special cousin, Laney Brunson. Serving as pallbearers were the members of his Sunday School class, Bennie Lee Williams, Roy Weston and his grandsons. At the request of the family, any planned memorials may be made to the Lone Cherry Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
