SIDNEY MERCER Services for Mr. Sidney Mercer, 36, of West Monroe will held at 2 p.m. Thursday February 19, 1987 at the Lone Cherry Baptist Church near Mangham with Rev. Doyle Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Mr. Mercer died Wednesday February 18, 1987 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a short illness. He was formerly of Mangham. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Deborah Mercer of West Monroe, one daughter, Sher Mercer of Gilbert; one step-daughter, Ashley White of West Monroe; one son, Jarrod Mercer of Ruston; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Willie Mercer of Mangham; four brothers, Stanley Mercer of Houston, Tx., Pete Mercer of Monroe, Kenny Mercer and Tommy Mercer both of Mangham and eight sisters, Mrs. Rose Jones of Hebert, Mrs. Ruth Jeansonne of Monroe, Mrs. Dott Faircloth of Vidalia, Mrs. Jewel Barton, Mrs. Judy Barton, Mrs. Trudy Wiggins, Mrs. Wanda Thames and Mrs. Debra Poindexter all of Mangham. Pallbearers will be Lynn Mercer, Dock Mercer, Joel Williams, Gary Williams, Billy Joe Mercer, and Ronnie Mercer. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. until 12 noon at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time the day of the funeral. **Submitter's notes: Sidney Mercer was born 29 June 1950 in Winnsboro, LA, the son of Willie Marshall "Cooter" Mercer and Audie Lee Weems Mercer.
