Shonica Shannette Jones

Funeral services for Shonica Shannetter Jones “Punkin”,
21, of Delhi , LA. were held at 2 P.M. on Saturday,
October 27, 2001 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church 
in Delhi,with Rev. Charles Stubblefied officiating. Burial
followed at Mt. Zion Cmemtery of Delhi, LA. under the 
direction of Tenant Funeral Home of Rayville.

Sister Shonica S. Jones was born on September 10, 1980 
to Frank b. Jones Jr. and Lorena Jones.  She departed
this life on Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at her home
in Monroe, LA. Her maternal grandparents Willie and
Catherine Powell preceded her in death.

At an early age she confessed to Christ under the 
leadership of Pastor Frank B. Jones ,Sr. at the
New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Delhi, LA.

She leaves to cherish her memory; a loving companion, 
Donnel Burns, Sr.; a loving son, Donnel Burns, Jr.;
her mother and father, Frank and Lorine Jones of 
Delhi, LA.; four sisters-Dwanna Powell (special friend
Warren) both of Arlington, TX., Candice Williams (companion
Terrance), Shanika Jones, and Shameka Jones (companion
Tommie) all of Delhi, LA.; one brother Frank Jones III
of Delhi, LA.; her paternal grandparents, Frank Jones, Sr.,
and Georgia Jones of Delhi; two nieces and a host of uncles,
aunts, cousins, and friends,

Serving as pallbearers were Aric Brass, Demario Jones, Justin
Marshall, Brandon Jones, Larry Houston, Orlando Powell, 
Kevin Cooper and Leotis Powell.

Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Marshall, Anthony Jones, Willie
Powell, Clifford Powell, Van Jones, Ricky Jones, Jerry Powell,
Bryan Jones, Terry Jones and Billy Powell.
