Nolan and Bonita Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Homes of Delhi. Mrs. Thompson died, Tuesday, August 24, 1999, at the Northeast Community Care Center in Rayville. A native of Oak Ridge, and the youngest of 11 children born to Jesse J. Nolan and Molly Stokes Nolan, Mrs. Thompson was a resident of Delhi for over 63 years. She was a member of the Delhi United Methodist Church and the Morehouse Parish Chapter of the DAR. She was retired from the Richland Parish School System and was above all else a loving mother, friend and confidant to her children. She was known to all her family and friends as "Mamaw." Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde C. Thompson Jr. She is survived by five sons and o ne daughter - Clyde N. Thompson and his wife, Cheryl, of Delhi; Robert Dhu Thompson of Monroe, LA; Rep. Francis C. Thompson and his wife, Marilyn, of Delhi; Michael L. Thompson and his wife, Deborah, of Delhi; Dr. W. David Thompson and his wife Ashley, of Rayville; and Priscilla T. Linder and her husband, Milton, of Delhi; She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and two sisters - Mrs. Dorothy Hernandez of Leesville, LA and Mrs. Edna Hill of Monroe, LA; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Bob Thompson, Todd Thompson, Brant Thompson, Jason Thompson, Dhu Thompson, Addison Thompson, Cole McEacharn and Ryan Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Lester Johnson, Dr. Ronald Ponarski, Joey Chaney and the hospital staff at Richardson Medical Center.
