All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** * Tommie Merchant Dyer Funeral services for Tommie Merchant Dyer, 90, of Archibald, LA were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at the Cedar Baptist Church with the Revs. Keith Stevens and Prentiss Gandy officiating. Burial followed in the Lynn Cemetery, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Homes of Rayville. Mrs. Dyer died July 29, 2001 at the Richardson Medical Center in Rayville. She was a member of the Cedar Baptist Church. Mrs. Dyer was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Chick Dyer; a son, Fredrick Earle Dyer; a daughter, Dot Dyer Adcock; a brother, Earl Merchant; her sisters, Emma Merchant Haire and Earnestine Merchant Thompson; and her parents, Missouri Bradshaw and Oliver Windle Merchant. Survivors include a son, T. Windle Dyer and his wife, Susan, of New Orleans, LA; two grandchildren, Harry Clinton Adcock of Trenton, TN and Karen Adcock Taylor of Halls, TN; her great grandchildren, Preston, Juston, Stone, Brett, Freddie and Elisha. Serving as pallbearers were Sonny Jake Yelverton, Sammy Smith, Lee Booth Jr., Jerry Roberts, Stevie Gray and Bob Archibald. Her nephews served as honorary pallbaearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cedar Baptist Church building fund.
