DENNIS RAY TUCKER Dennis Ray TUCKER, 61, died Monday, May 9, 1994 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 8, 1932 in Dunn,Richland Parish,LA. Mr. TUCKER, a native of Dunn,LA, had lived in Shreveport since 1956 where he worked as a truck driver. Services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home in Shreveport on Wednesday, May 11, 1994 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Eddie Kent. Mr. TUCKER was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Ray Tucker of Shreveport,LA; his parents Dennis and Elsie Velma (Poland) TUCKER; and a sister, Mrs. Beatrice Kate (TUCKER) Rester all of Dunn,LA. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Buna Mae (Davis) TUCKER; one son Casey Gerald TUCKER and daughter-in-law, Dene'; two daughters and a son-in- law, Brenda Kaye TUCKER and Denise Faye (TUCKER) and Murray Zachry all of Shreveport, and a grandchild, Joshua Curtis TUCKER. Other survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Edna Myra (TUCKER/Nash) Walters of Rossville,GA, Mrs. Henrietta (TUCKER) Carpenter of Roxie,MS, and Mrs Odessa Ella (TUCKER/Robinson) Johnson, Mrs. Mary Adelle (TUCKER) Black and Mrs. Audrey Ruth (TUCKER) Fuller, all of Delhi; and one brother, James William "Buddy" TUCKER of Rossville,GA. Pallbearers will be Leonard Nichols, Charles Robinson, Waddy Meeks, Leland Black, Eddie Fuller, John Colbert, Joe Boyd and Bubba Deen. The family would like to Express their Sincere appreciation to Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center, Schumpert Hospice and his very special niece, Susan Rushing, who was a tremendous comfort to him and his family. The family suggests that memorials be made to Schumpert Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
