Gibson, 84 of Rayville, were heldFebruary 25, 2002 at Boeuf River Baptist Church, with Rev. Ronnie Whitlock officiating. Burial followed in Rayville Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. Mr. Gibson died February 23, 2002, at his residence. He was a member of Boeuf River Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and church treasurer. He was a retired school bus driver, farmer and cattleman. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife of 56 years, Clarice Key Gibson of Rayville,daughter Jane Gibson Reed and husband Billy of Wisner; three sons, Robert and wife, Annette Gibson of Memphis, William and wife Rita of Rayville, and Greg and wife, Phyllis of Rayville; two sisters, Ruby Stephens of Shreveport, and Clara Gallagos of Hemphill, Texas; nine grandchildren, Kay Gibson, Ronia Lawson, LeRoy Gibson, Bob Gibson, Misty Gibson, Rae Ringle, Wes Gibson, Tripp Morgan, Micahel LaCroix; and 10 great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were Bob Gibson, LeRoy Gibson, Danny Gibson, Roger Gibson, Ronnie Hill, and Wes Gibson.
