Burial followed in the Mulhearn Mausoleum in the Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe, La. under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville. Mrs. Walters died Saturday June 6, 1998 at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville. Mrs. Walters was a long time member of the Rayville Garden Club, the Lambda Kappa Club and First Baptist Church. Mrs. Walters was the wife of the late Rubin L. Walters. She is survived by a son, Lonnie Walters of Rayville and a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Mike Gibbens of Monroe. She leaves behind a granddaughter, Karen Duke and her husband Stephen of Rayville. Other survivors include her companions: Alma Baker, Ida Stuckey, Jerlene Jones, Willie Mae Wilhite, and Josephine Williams, and a niece, Sarah Walters Aycock, whom she and Mr. Walters lovingly raised in their home for six years. Pallbearers were Glenn Jordan,Keith Bond, William Hallack, Charles Ryan, Sellers Aycock and Willie Sims.
