Wright State 0f Louisiana Clerks Office 14th District Court Parish of Richland To any ordained Minister of the Gospel or to any Justice of Peace-Greetings: You are hereby authorized and empowered to unite in the Bonds of Matrimony and the Holy Wedlock Mr. N.H. Collins and Miss Sarah J Wright both residents of the State aforesaid, and to solemnize and celebrate said marriage between said parties according to the laws and customs of this State, and make your return hereof as the law directs and this is your authority for so doing. Given under my hand and seal of Office on this 4th day of June 1873. J. Newt Pitts Clerk 14th District Court State of Louisiana Parish of Richland, I hereby certify that I have on this day, in the presence of the foregoing License, celebrated and solemnized the marriage between Mr. N.H. Collin and Miss Sarah J. Wright agreeably to the laws and customs of the State of Louisiana. In faith whereof I have together both the parties and in the presence of the undersigned witnesses signed this present on the 5th day of June 1873. Witnesses: Jas. A. Leggitt N.H. Collins E.H. Leggitt S. J. Wright J.J. Stubbs S.S. McKelvy, J.P. Know all men by these present: That we N.H. Collins as principal and Lemuel Scott as security are held firmly bound unto J. New Pitts Clerk of the 14th District Court, in and for the Parish of Richland, State of Louisiana, and his successor in office, for the time being in the sum of five hundred dollars and for the true and final payment thereof we bind ourselves, and our heirs, administrators and assigns. Signed and dated on the 4th day of June 1873. The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas a marriage is about to take place between the above bound N. H. Collins and Sarah J. Wright and if there shall exist no obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue according to law. Signed and acknowledged before me on this date first above written.
