License & bond 14 Feb 1903; recorded 28 Feb 1903 44 State of Louisiana } Clerk’s Office Parish of Richland } 7th District Court To any Ordained Minister of the Gospel, or to any Justice of the Peace ~ Greeting: You Are Hereby Authorized and empowered to unite in the Bonds of Matrimony and Holy Wedlock, Mr. Wilburn H Malone and Miss Mary E Wynn both residents of the State aforesaid, and to solemnize and celebrate the said Marriage between said parties, according to the laws and customs of this State, and make your return hereof as the law directs, and this is your authority for so doing. Given under my hand and seal of office, on this 14th day of February, 1903 J W Summerlin Clerk 7th District Court State of Louisiana, Parish of Richland I Hereby Certify, That I have, on this day, in pursuance of the foregoing License, celebrated and solemnized a Marriage between Mr. Wilburn H Malone and Miss Mary E Wynn agreeably to the laws and customs of the State of Louisiana. M S McGuire Know All Men By These Presents: That We, Wilburn H Malone as Principal, and E H Griffin as Security, are held and firmly bound unto J W Summerlin, Clerk of the 7th District Court in and for the Parish of Richland, State of Louisiana, and his successors in office, for the time being, in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, and for the true and final payment thereof, we bind ourselves, our heirs, administrators and assigns. Signed and dated on this 14th day of February 1903. In Condition Of The Above Obligation Is Such, That whereas, a Marriage is about to take place between the above bound Wilburn H Malone and Miss Mary Wynn and if there shall exist no legal impediments why the Marriage should not take place, then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue, according to law. J W Wynn is most likely John W Wynn, b 06 Jul 1872 Wynn Island Plantation, Crew Lake, Richland Parish, LA to Robert Augustus Wynn and Susan F Echols. Robert A being the brother of Felix G Wynn, so John W Wynn would be the first cousin of Mary Emma Wynn.
