OSCAR O. CLEVELAND



Oscar O. Cleveland, cashier of the recently established People's State Bank of

Many, was born in Leak county, Mississippi, October 9, 1876.  He went to

public schools and after coming to Many with his father, W. B. Cleveland, in

1898, he entered the station of the K. C. S. R'y to learn the railroad

business remaining in the employ of that company until he engaged in business

in partnership with J. H. McNeely in 1902.  In 1905 he again entered the

employ of the railroad as station agent at Many, and after three years service

he resigned and accepted a position with the Santa Fe Railway.  He filled some

important positions with that company in Louisiana and Texas.  He resigned to

become cashier of the People's State Bank of Many.  He is a conservative

business man and a genial gentleman.



Mr. Cleveland was married in 1904 to Miss Claudia, eldest dauther of Judge and

Mrs. Don e. SoRelle.
