He moved with his parents to Sabine parish in 1882, and has always been engaged in farming and has been very successful. Mr. Pierce has always been a strong advocate of organization and co operation among the farmers as a means of bringing prosperity to them and building up the agricultural interests of the country. He was elected a member of the Police Jury in 1912 and is in line with the progressive policy of that body; he is a good citizen and a high class gentleman. # # #
