O. Brooks, United States commissioner, on charges of violating the Mann white slave act. In default of bond, the couple were remanded to jail. Wallace's bond was fixed at $1,000, and Mrs. Malmay's at $700. The couple are alleged to have left their families in Sabine parish and to have gone together to Beaumont, Texas. They were arrested by Sabine parish officers. Both are married. Mrs. Malmay is crippled, having lost a leg.
