All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mr. Elbert Clifton "Red" Applewhite Funeral services were held May 5, at 2:30 p.m., at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, for Elbert Clifton "Red" Applewhite, who died Friday, May 3, at 1:30 a.m., at Sabine Medical Center in Many, La. Interment followed at Ponemah Cemetery. A native of Bogalusa, and a resident of Noble, La., Applewhite was 61. He was an employee of Con-Agra, Many, for the past 11 years. Survivors included his wife, Louella Graves Applewhite of Noble, La.; five stepsons, Glenn, Barney, Greg, and Eric Williams of Madisonville, and Ken Williams of Bogalusa; a step daughter, Betty Pace of Slidell; a brother, Kermit Applewhite of Bogalusa; one sister, Adelle Bryant of Baton Rouge; one grandchild; and several step grandchildren. The Rev. Charles Reitz, and Dr. Doyse Thompson will officiate.
