Abington, age 61, who died July 7, were conducted on July 9, at 3 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Alpine, Tex. Mr. Abington was a rancher in Brewster County. In 1950, he acquired the Lake Ranch, and became a sheep and cattle breeder. He was a veteran of World War I, member of American Legion, and Masonic Lodge, and the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of Alpine; three brothers, Douglas Abington of Many, Ray of Pine Bluff, Ark., Butler of Earl, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. S. J. Gilbert of Baton Rouge. Those from Many attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Abington Sr., D. C. Jr., and Leonard Abington, and Mrs. Kerton Sutton.
