Jeff L. Averitt

  Jeff L. Averitt, 78, of Mansfield, died Thursday, April 26, in a
Coushatta hospital, after a long illness.

  The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 28, in the
Drewett Funeral Home's Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Walter
Helms officiating. Burial followed in the Grand Bayou Cemetery
near Coushatta.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Idell T. Averitt of Mansfield;
three sons, Herman Averitt of Noble, and Douglas Averitt, and
Bobby Averitt, both of Mansfield; two daughters, Velma Mae Davis
of Dallas, Tex., and Dorothy Frazier of Bossier City; one
brother, Willie Averitt of Mansfield; one sister, Dessie Falgurat
of Texarkana, Tex.; 12 grandchildren; and six great
grandchildren.
