Cheryl Kay Ashy

  Funeral services for Cheryl Kay Ashy, 41, of Lafayette, were
held Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1996, at the First Baptist Church of Many,
at 2 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Perry Sanders, and Rev. Keith
Dowden. Interment was at Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction
of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Ashy passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, in Lafayette.

  She is survived by her husband, D. Warren Ashy of Lafayette; one
daughter, Jennifer Leigh, also of Lafayette; parents, Huey and
Josie Dowden of Many; one brother, Michael Gary Dowden of Baton
Rouge; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
