Rev. A. D. Ashby

  Of interest to Sabine Parish residents will be the death of Rev. A. D. Ashby, who has
conducted many services in this area.

  Ther Rev. Ashby of Blanchard, 89, died at 1 p.m., Sept. 6, in Doctor's hospiital in
Shreveport, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Fulton, Miss., and had lived in
Blanchard since 1937. A Nazarene minister, he had preached in this area for more then
50 years.

  Funeral services were held Sept. 8, at the Blanchard Baptist Church, with burial in the
Blanchard Cemetery.
