Chalmer D. Ashby

  Chalmer D. Ashby, 60, of Pleasant Hill, died Friday afternoon at
the family residence.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, in the Drewett
Memorial Chapel, in Mansfield, with the Rev. John C. Wilson
officiating. Burial was in the Springridge Cemetery.

  Survivors include four brothers, Noland E. Ashby of Bossier City,
James C. Ashby of Leesville, Jessie W. Ashby also of Bossier City,
and Edmond James of Pleasant Hill; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Jones
of Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Myrtis Carter of Houston, Tex., and Mrs.
Tanna Plazo of New Orleans.
