All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Thelma Wilson Ashby Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Louise Wilson Ashby were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 10, in the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Aubrey Boswell officiating. Graveside services were at 5 p.m., Sunday, in the Wallace Cemetery, in the Evelyn Community near Mansfield. Mrs. Ashby, 65, of Leesville, died at 11 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 7, in the Byrd Regional Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Ashby was a native of Mansfield, and had lived in the Leesville area for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and East Leesville Baptist Church for 30 years. She was also a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. John B. Wilson Sr., and her brother, Arthur Wilson. She is survived by her husband, J. C. (Cliff) Ashby of Leesville; three daughters, Linda Lievsay of Pasadena, Tex., Brenda Boone of Deluth, Minn., and Deborah Phillips of Hornbeck; one son, James Basil Ashby of Alexandria; two brothers, Bob F. Wilson of Shreveport; and John B. Wilson Jr. of Lafayette; two sisters, Yvonne Prudhomme of Mansfield, and JoAnn Guillott of Beaumont; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
