The Sabine Index - Duroy Austin

  17 Aug 1951 - Funeral rites for Duroy Austin, 56, who passed
away Sunday, Aug. 5, at a DeRidder clinic after a long illness,
were conducted Tuesday of last week at Belmont by Rev. Smith of
Longville, assisted by Rev. K. G. McDowell of Many.

  Pallbearers were: Rolland Slay, Clifford Crone, Huey Austin,
Eugene Wright, Dennis Lites and Harold Dean Dowden.

  Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Velma Austin,
Longville; Mrs. S. L. Ramsey, Zwolle, Mrs. O. V. Cooper, Belmont,
Mrs. W. C. Slay, Many, Miss Willie Austin, Shreveport, Mrs. J. M.
Broadway, Jackson, Miss, Mrs. DeWitt Lafiette, Many; one brother,
Earl Austin, Zwolle.
