  Solen Austin - March 24, 1988

  Mr. Solen Austin, 88, of Mansfield died in Shreveport on March
22, 1988.

  Services were held at Union Belmont Baptist Church on March 24
at 2 p.m. with Rev. Frank Stingham and Rev. Palmer officiating.
Burial was at Belmont Cemetery under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Annie A. Austin of Mansfield; six
daughters, Myrtle Sherwood of Shreveport, Anis Lee Brown of Oil
City, Edna Stringham of Arcadia, Louise Clark of Shreveport,
Cathy Jordan of Lubbock, Tx. and Pearlie Lilley of Shreveport;
one son, Sonny Austin of Mansfield; two brothers, Louis Austin of
Belmont and Amos Austin of Keithville; four sisters, Maude Rhodes
of Shreveport, Gracie Hammond of Kansas City, MO, Eula Stokan of
McKeesport, PA and Josie Thompson of Independence, MO; 20
grandchidlren, 36 great grandchidlren and 16 great great
grandchildren.
