Louis N. Austin, Jr.

  Funeral services for Louis N. Austin Jr., 89, were held at 10
a.m., Wednesday, March 18, at Union Baptist Church.

  The Rev. J. P. King officiated. Burial was in Belmont Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Austin died Monday, March 16, at Willis-Knighton Medical
Center in Shreveport.

  Survivors are his wife, Lois Branch Austin of Belmont; two sons,
Gerald K. Austin of Keithville, and Donnie Joe Austin of
Mansfield; three daughters, Evelyn Wyatt of Baton Rouge, Ruth
Montgomery of Shreveport, and Josie Thompson of Independence,
Mo.; three sisters, Maude Rhodes of Shreveport, Eula Stoken of
McKeesport, Pa., and Gracie Hammonds of Kansas City, Mo.; one
brother, Amos Austin of Keithville; fifteen grandchildren; and 17
great grandchildren.
